The Premier League has approved requests from Arsenal and Crystal Palace to move their league games before they meet in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
The two sides face off at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, 23 December, and were originally set to play their league matches on Sunday, 21 December. Those fixtures — Arsenal at Everton and Palace at Leeds — will now take place at 8pm on Saturday, 20 December.
The change follows Palace’s Conference League tie against KuPS on 18 December, which left them facing three games in five days. The Premier League said the decision was made with player welfare in mind and thanked Leeds and Everton for their cooperation.
Both matches will still be shown live on Sky Sports.
