Barcelona have identified Harry Kane as their top target to replace Robert Lewandowski next summer.
The Spanish champions view the 32-year-old England captain as the ideal long-term successor to Lewandowski, whose contract expires in June. Reports suggest Barça may activate a £57m release clause in Kane’s Bayern Munich deal.
Kane has been prolific since joining Bayern from Tottenham in 2023, scoring 108 goals in 113 appearances and helping reclaim the Bundesliga title. Although he recently said he was open to staying in Germany until 2027, a move to the Camp Nou could tempt him with another major challenge.
Barcelona already have Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United, with an option to make the move permanent for £30m.
Club president Joan Laporta has ruled out a return for Lionel Messi, saying: “Out of respect for Messi, our players, and our members, it’s not the time to speculate with unrealistic scenarios.”
