Coca-Cola has launched legal proceedings against Vue after the cinema chain replaced it with PepsiCo as its soft drinks supplier.
The move followed Vue’s decision last year to retender the contract, ending a 25-year relationship and selecting PepsiCo as exclusive supplier until at least 2030.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners claims Vue left unpaid debts when the contract ended, though Vue says the disputed amount was under £100,000.
Vue’s chief executive, Tim Richards, said the matter could have been resolved without lawyers and confirmed the winding-up petition has now been withdrawn.
